I just spent a few hours in bliss. My friend Kate came over and gave me a healing today. I’m not sure what she did but I had a kind of creative storm go off inside my head the whole time I was on the table. It started with creative healing ideas and then, quite predictably, moved on to food. By the time I got off the table, I had dinner prepared in my mind.
I’m not quite sure how I got the idea of beetroot boats. I felt like I was in woodwork class, cutting little divots and sliding one piece into another.
Then I tried the same thing with apple but that was a bit too fiddly really. Then I blended up some pine nuts with avocado, lemon and basil. The texture was brilliant but I think I prefer macadamia nuts. Perhaps next time I will try a mix of the two.
Don’t you just love the lavender flowers?! I got them for my chakra cake recipes but they look brilliant sprinkled over dinner, especially alongside the sautéed red cabbage that turns blue when cooked. The little black things on top of my apple creation are hibiscus flowers.
