COLOUR MAGIC

For students with Aura Cards: The colours of a food can tell us what the food provides or treats. The food helps us taps into the strengths and balance out the weaknesses of each aura colour it presents us with.

Pineapple:

The yellow colour of pineapples is a glorious food for the solar plexus, helping us to digest food, ideas and experiences. The aura frequency it stimulates is a blend of Warmth Yellow, Happiness Yellow, Vision Yellow, Resourceful Yellow and Courage Orange. Together, these colours have an inspiring, calming, heart-warming, grounding and strengthening action on the aura or mind-body.

Pistachio:

Pistachio is a purple, gold and green, linking the crown chakra, solar plexus chakra and the heart chakra. The specific aura colours we see here are Reflection Purple, Authenticity Green, Wisdom Green, Anxiety Yellow and Fantasy Yellow. Together, these colours stir the imagination, helping us to re-vision ourselves. These potential new self-identities are based on our individuality rather than our need for approval from others.

Passionfruit:

As with pistachio, passionfruit contains green, gold and purple aura frequencies. The specific aura colours here are Defensive Purple, Performance Green, Rumination Yellow and Gold. Together, these colour brighten the aura and make us more comfortable being in the lime-light, without losing ourselves in ego.

FOOD MEDICINE

Pineapple

The taste is awakening like that of lemon, but the action is less grounding, with less ‘wake-you-up’ silver sharpness making the mind alert. Instead, pineapple’s sour softness spreads and melts on the tongue, inspiring an expansion and lifting of the aura. This brings about a gradual awakening in the higher mind, a subtle blending of wonder and revelation, as though one’s world has just opened up and new possibilities are occurring to you. I love the ‘standing back’ capacity pineapple gives us; the ability to just sit and watch new ideas dawn in our own minds without immediately rushing to act on them. Instead, a series of revelations are captured slowly over time, and a decision regarding action is made after weighing up the revelations as a whole. Rather than choosing between these ideas, we find the best parts of each idea and link together in unique ways to create a completely new vision for ourselves and our life.

To access this part of the cake’s magic, I recommend eating 1 piece every 4 days for two months.

Pistachio

The pistachio taste tones the heart chakra, making it tougher, more discerning and less likely to trust others inappropriately. It stop the heart chakra from ‘leaking’ i.e. giving excess energy to others in ways that are disempowering for oneself and others. This food medicine helps us stand back from our own nervous behaviour in social situations so we can let it go with love.

Passionfruit:

Passionfruit taste has a pizz-zang that engages our creative focus. Instead of flitting our attention here and there, we immerse ourselves in tasks with incredible clarity, attention to detail and the energy to complete what we have started. I love the way passionflower balances this intense focus by helping us laugh with pleasure when light-hearted moments interrupt our focus.

SPIRIT MEDICINE

Pineapple:

When I made a spirit connection with pineapple fruit, this is what it told me about its unique spirit medicine:

“I will help you open up your heart to stronger connections with others, connections that will benefit your higher vision. I will help you be drawn to the people who can help facilitate your dreams. All the characters in your life are performing a purpose. I will help draw to you those people who will empower, encourage and strengthen you. Some of them will challenge you at times, but if you can rise to the challenge, you will grow profoundly as a person.”

Pistachio:

When I ‘look’ at the aura after it absorbs pistachio, I see yellow light beaming upwards from the solar plexus chakra (upper abdomen), sending light through the heart chakra so we can see our own beauty. Not physical beauty, but heart-beauty. Pistachio helps us like ourselves enough to appreciate our good points so we can see and appreciate our own potential. If you have a tendency to over-criticise yourself and to only see what needs improving, pistachio will help you relax and just be.

Passionfruit:

Passionfruit spirit medicine is a bit like the spirit medicine of peacocks, but a little more earthy. It helps us tap into our inner showmanship when it is strategic to do so, while also helping us stand back and watch happily when it’s someone else’s turn to shine. It also enhances our ability to convey ideas or to tell a story in a way that will engage and inspire others.
