I’m enjoying an old spirit-diary from 19 years ago. So beautiful, the friendships with Spirit, and there are sections that are strangely resonant now, as though the were written with my future self in mind.
This is me, talking with my guide Tomas:
“Do you have any advice for me?”
See that light dancing over yonder? And the trail of light leading up to it?
That is your destination. Just keep going that way. We are with you eery step of the way.
“But the paths keep shifting…”
It is an illusion. Just keep going. All will come to be as it is meant. Hold on to your faith.
“Tomas. I am afraid”
Oh what, dear one?
“I don’t know. Failing. Being fake.”
*laughter” We are all afraid of such things.
Yes. In our different ways. You will be fine. We believe in you.
When I was 16 years old I attended a vision quest led by an American Indian shaman who was visiting my home town of Alice Springs. The vision I received, after fasting, sweating, meditating and staying awake during the night, came at dawn. It was a vision that predicted my current career as an Aura Healer and Reader, although I didn’t know it at the time!
Lately I’ve been wondering if it might actually have been my first Gaian attunement, delivered via my power animal the spider. Rainbow light bounced off a spiders thread into my eyes, and it felt as though it was pouring into my third eye. Perhaps my first attunement was a third eye attunement, and I am now, 30 years later, coming around full circle, learning how to attune the third eye of others to Gaia’s healing energy.
My early childhood was divided between Alice Springs in Central Australia and Lothlorian, large property in an isolated rainforest in Tasmania, where we lived in a tent and I bonded with the trees. My mother raised me to believe in Mother Nature rather than a male, Christian God (Bless Him!), so I already had a strong bond with Nature well before I “met” Gaia for the first time in person in my early twenties.
She came to me during a guided meditation, in a sequence of visions that appeared in my minds eye a second before the person guiding me described them. It was though my human guide could see what I was seeing! Gaia welcomed me into her arms like a long-lost daughter, and then she pushed shards of crystal light into the palms of my hands. “Healer of and from the Earth, daughter-sister mine, go forth and heal the Earth, heal the people.” Check out this blog if you’d like to hear more.
After this, I met my light and shadow guides, Thomas and Khryse, who took me under their wings and taught me all about yin and yang, about balance. They helped me integrate my male and female sides. Years passed, and I became an aura reader/healer, a “rainbow shaman”. My next meeting with Gaia came during an aura reading with a client. The young lady was pregnant, but didn’t know it yet, and Gaia just happened to be delivering the spirit of the child into her womb at that very moment! You can read this story here.
In hindsight, I now understand why other psychics keep seeing so many baby spirits around me! Gaia, the archetypal mother spirit, had been with me all along, but it’s only in the past few years I’ve become consciously aware of our deep bond. In 2017, my husband and I travelled throughout Australia in search of a new home. We revisited my childhood home in Tasmania and three months later we purchased a 100 acre property in northern NSW, which we named “Lorien Valley” in honour of Lothlorien.
Lorien Valley became our home-away-from-home, our eco-minimalist writers-retreat! It was here I befriended a native kurrajong tree and began reconnecting with Gaia. The land knew we were coming. Knowing also, that I would connect with the Kurrajong tree, the tree was elected as spokeperson, an intermediary between myself and the land, myself and Gaia. There is one precious blog from our first three months spent at Lorien valley, which you can read here.
Towards the end of this visit in 2017, Gaia began talking to me about the new attunement she had given me and she asked me to begin attuning other people to her energy. Back in Darwin in the new year, we ran a Gaian Healing Attunement with about 20 people attending. I channelled Gaian meditations throughout the day and faciliated conversations that helped people recognise the mutual bonds they shared with different parts of nature. We talked about the plant and animal kingdoms, and the elementals!
Each person received an attunement that toned and realigned their feet chakras with the Earth. Much of the day was spent calling on nature-spirits for help with clearing blockages and I’ve since learned that Gaia refuses to do an attunement unless a person’s channels are clear. When she crosses her arms and gets that look on her face I know she won’t budge until the blocks are gone. She has a special distaste for heart-chakra blockages and parent-child wounds, and is meticulous about clearing the energy lines through the legs.
Once that’s done, she helps me align the energy centres between the feet, in the pelvis/belly, and in the heart chakra. We gradually raise healing energy up from the earth, into the belly, and then up to the heart. From here, once Gaia is satisfied the energy is balanced and full, we run it down through the arms and out through the hands. The hands are fun, because she always puts something in them, like a blessing or a gift, which is unique to the individual.
This year, Gaia has asked me to run another workshop. She’s taken me through a few new attunements (you can read about one of them here) and has taught me how to raise the energy up to the third eye, bringing it into alignment with a power centre in the belly. When she first did this attunement on me, I was amazed by the sudden clarity I had! My chronic self-doubt and procrastination was gone. I could see the bigger picture and I knew exactly what to do next. I’ve noticed, when doing this second attunement for others, that they become very clear and focused, a lot more grounded in their vision. Illusions dissolve and the way forwards becomes clear.
Anyone who attended last years workshop is welcome to attend again, as are new people. Gaia says she will do the first attunement for you if you are ready and the second attunement for those who are ready for it. Please be aware, that if Gaia crosses her arms and refuses to do an attunement because of a blockage and we can’t clear it, we’ll have to honour her wisdom and try again another time! We’re more than happy though, to refund the workshop fees if this happens.
What you will go home with though, is some guidance on how to shift the blockage yourself, slowly over time, along with a day full of magical connections, both with like-minded others and the nature-spirit realm itself.
If you are interested in coming along, use the contact form on this website to send me an email. And yes, for those who are wondering, I am creating some online Gaian Workshops! I’ll talk about this and the Gaian Meditation subscription service in my next blog.
Today is the one year anniversary of the first time we arrived here on our block of land in Northern NSW and I thought I’d mark the occasion with a blog.
It’s been an intense week! My sister and daughter invited me in via video link to hang with them during their blood moon ceremony they were doing last week. This is the second time now, that we’ve come together to do some family healing magic. The first time was on the 22nd of the 3rd, 2017. At the time, my husband and I were on the east coast searching for a new place to live. There was flooding everywhere and we got bogged! My husband kindly played the hero and I left him with the muddy saga while I caught the train to Brisbane and spent an evening doing magic with my sister and daughter. The date worked out nicely, seeing as we were keen to take advantage of the fact that there was some good number magic happening with our ages: 44, 33 and 22. I’m an 11, by the way, in numerology!
I think I’m a bit like my Granpa, in that my favourite time to keep a diary is when I’m travelling. We’re heading back to Nymboida, our 100 acre bush block (with tiny cabin) in Northern NSW for 3 months of writing, rest and what we fondly refer to as ‘bootcamp’. I can already feel my muscles stretching and strengthening… the toughening-back-up has begun!
It’s going to take a few years to get good at this too-ing and fro-ing, from one state to another, but each time we do it there will be less ‘stuff’ to pack and move. This is our second trek from Darwin to NSW. Last time we went, in September last year, we had to move out of our home of 25 years. We gave many of our possessions away, sold the lounge suite and the fridge because they were too big for our new gypsy lifestyle and packed a small load into a covered trailer to take with us. The rest went into storage.
Chiron, the wounded healer, and his apprentice Achilles, are coming up as strong archetypes for many healers and helpers at the moment. This is an opportunity to heal your deepest wounds and weaknesses as a healer/helper…
The wounded healer’s drive to heal often comes from their wounded self. This is the part of us that heals others in order to heal ourselves. We see ourselves in others and by rescuing/healing others, we hope to heal ourselves.
If you’ve ever had a moment when you’ve wondered why you are able to heal and help others, but not yourself, this is your chiron-wound. The chiron wound blesses us with a healer’s wisdom and insight that only empathy can give us, but it can also make us abandon ourselves in our God-like quest to be everyone else’s hero.
The chiron-achilles wound can be blind spot, a wound you can’t see or understand, even though it may be obvious to others, some of whom may exploit this wound. For many, this wound results in martyrdom and self-neglect. For others, it involves active self-harm. Some call this wound “the healer’s shadow.”
When you stop hating, neglecting, or ‘not-seeing/hearing’ some part of yourself that is crying out to be loved, you finally pass the healer/helper/hero’s ultimate test: rescuing yourself with self-love, self-care, self-healing, and the acceptance of love and support from others, with healthy boundaries and self-respect. In other words, you walk your talk.
If you are a wounded healer, will you still want to heal others after you’ve healed yourself? You might completely reinvent yourself and take on a new identity, purpose in life, or job description. But if you do continue as a healer/helper, you can be fairly guaranteed your approach will be very different because the drive to help and heal no longer comes from your wound, your inner pain, or your martyred, heroic sense of responsibility and invincibility.
Are you a wounded healer? What if the desire to help and heal came from a place of joy, light, fullness, completeness, stillness, self-love and peace within yourself? What might be possible for you then?
I have a range of 20 Herbal Chakra Tonics that integrate with the Aura Sprays, and are complimented by guided meditations and mindfulness meditations. These kits amalgamate my experience as an Aura Therapist with over 20 years experience in the trade, with my expertise as a Naturopath. By the time I graduated as a Naturopath in 2003, I had already clocked up hundreds or aura healings, readings and sketches since I began doing this work in 1996.
WHAT IS THE AURA?
Seen with psychic vision, the aura is a cloud of rainbow-coloured light that surrounds you. You could think of the aura as being your spirit-self or your energy-body. Aura colours can be ‘read’ by a practitioner such as myself. Each colour tells me something about a clients personality, feelings, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, experiences and interactions with others. The colours themselves come from energy structures in the aura called chakras. I ‘see’ around 100 different aura colours, all of which have multiple different possible meanings depending on the exact shade, where in the aura they are found, and the other colours they are found with. My husband tells me the way I dream is unusual, and I’m curious to know if that is true!
I’ve always been an adventurous dreamer. As a child, I’d dream of being in the school yard, off in some little corner by myself, practising my levitation skills. I’d slowly lean back, keeping my body straight and stiff, balancing my weight on my heels. Instead of falling backwards I’d suddenly find myself floating with my heels an inch off the ground! It required a lot of concentration, but with practise, it became easier.
As the years rolled by, I was able to float a little higher, and for longer, and by the time I reached my teens I could fly! Sometimes, my flying looks like Wonder Woman. When I fly like this, it feels almost as though I am a dolphin, streaming, winding, whipping and turning effortlessly, this way and that. Other times, it’s more a sense of being able to jump with weightlessness, launching in the air and leaping to great heights. Continue reading “My Life as a Dreamer”
Hello! I’m just experimenting with creating a video blog. My first one ever! This was a spontaneous experiment that branched off from the playing I’m doing with video-creation in general at the moment, for the on-line courses I’m creating. Next time I’ll make sure the lighting is better, but it’s a good start; toe in the water, so to speak!
This video is a dear-diary business-catch up. I’ll do another one soon, because there are a few events coming up that I forgot to tell you about!
This is an excerpt from my book Aura Colour Therapy, about an aura colour I call Compassion Orange. For anyone who has studied iridology, this auric pattern is equivalent to the Ring or Harmony or Lymphatic Rosary pattern in the iris.
This is a pale fluorescent apricot orange, like sunset reflected on soft fluffy clouds, or water. ‘Gentle’ is the word that most readily comes to mind when I think of this colour. Compassion Orange makes your heart feel expanded and all-encompassing. The feeling you get when your ‘heart goes out’ to another, is a typical Compassion Orange feeling. Sometimes this can be joyful because it keeps us connected with others, but quite often, it can cause an ache or pang in the heart.
Compassion Orange can reflect a compassionate nature or recent growth in a person’s capacity for compassion. Compassion Orange types are instinctive healers, often happiest when helping others or doing what they can to help make the world a better place for everyone to live in. Their concern for the world around them is on par with those who wear heart-based colours such as Wholehearted Pink and Generosity Green. For the most part, their compassion arises from a strong empathetic ability; they can easily imagine how it might feel to walk in the shoes of another person. Continue reading “Compassion Orange”
