I made this cake to align my heart chakra, third eye and base chakras. I am calling forth deep passion stirring in my heart, awaiting rebirth, like a flower bulb hidden under layers of snow in the winter, waiting for spring to come. I feel this passion grow legs, beautiful anchoring lines that guide my path forwards. I see with the eyes of my heart, a single thread of passion … Continue reading Berry Bliss Cake
I had a new animal spirit guide working with me yesterday in the healing room… a partridge! She was so beautiful! She helped restructure the energy lines in my client’s feet chakras and the lower legs, then she stimulated the lung/heart chakra points on the feet and encouraged my client to release from her lungs ‘all that she was carrying on behalf of others’.
Thank you to mum for this old photo. This has been up on mum’s photo board for as long as I can remember. It’s one of my favourites. I’m not sure how old I am here. 7 or 8 years old perhaps? I’m guessing these are Hal’s camels and the one I’m with is probably Sam. I love camels.
The funny thing is, I found this photograph quite by accident yesterday, after it went missing for over a year, on exactly the same day camel spirit medicine helped me during a healing with a client. I was shown a blockage in her throat chakra and ‘went in’ to it. ‘Going in’ means diving, melting, falling into this part of the energy field with my mind, my focus, my awareness…. while also sliding my energy hand into the chakra so I can feel around.
Animal Spirit Guides can help us in many ways. They might lend us their strength, mirror something back to us or get us thinking a bit more deeply about the life themes we are exploring at this time. None of this has to be taken literally, and what a lot of people don’t understand is that people who believe in things like animal spirit guides, are simply employing some good psychology and mild self-hypnosis to facilitate a healthier mind-body state.
Beetle spirit medicine has been making itself felt in my life over the past week or so, triggering both memories that need processing and reframing, and free-association cascades that help me think outside the square and tap into my own deeper wisdom.
I had the sudden urge to paint today, after seeing finches in my garden. I love the way they flit about. It makes me feel bright and happy. I wanted to use paint and water but felt a little nervous at first and almost didn’t because I feel so much more confident with chalks, but I pushed past that and let myself go. It’s a pity my paints are so old and dried up though!
One of the healing classes I run is a shamanic healing class. Last class was particularly beautiful, with the way everything unfolded and slipped into place.
Om: “Look around you at the corners of my clinic. Why do I have cobwebs? Why don’t I clean them away?”
Student reply: “Because it’s someone’s home”
Bless her! Isn’t she gorgeous? Yes, indeed, the cobwebs are someones home. We talked further and I explained that spider is my power animal.
When I’m reading the aura, I generally find spirit guide energy above the client’s head. Assigning a specific area of the aura to ‘the colours of spirit guides’ is helpful because then I can discern spirit energy from the energy of any incarnated beings the client might be interacting with. Using the area above the head as the spirit guide area makes sense because this is the area governed by the crown chakra, our spiritual chakra.
I tend to see spirit guides as balls of coloured light, with the colour, positioning and size of the ball giving me information about the guide’s personality and purpose. These meanings are my own personal system, and certainly not a rule of thumb- everyone perceives energy in their own unique way. I like the ball of light idea because to me, spirit is energy…the image of a guide as a character or human is secondary to the idea of spirit being an energy field.
Larger balls generally represent ‘older’ or wiser spirit guides. White balls are ‘master’ guides- guides with a very high frequency. When a ball of light is touching on, or close to the body, it means the guide and human have a very good working relationship and have probably been together for a long time.
