Expression Blue (Aura Colour)

An excerpt from Aura Colour Therapy, written by Omanisa

Expression Blue has depth and sparkle, like an azure blue sky reflected on the surface of a lake, with little glints of white sparkles and streaks, where sunlight strikes the water. On a feeling level, it feels energetic and lively, like a passionate flow of conversation, with animated hand and body movements being used to convey meaning. This colour is particularly therapeutic for anyone wearing grey colours in or around the Throat Chakra.

Often worn by writers, artists, vocalists, journalists, public speakers and people working in the communication industry, Expression Blue gives us a knack for composing with words and communicating with others. Besides representing a personality type, Expression Blue can appear in the aura when we are going through a temporary phase of heightened creative self-expression.

This colour liberates us by giving us a voice. Our voice is our personal truth; our way of being in the world, expressing our opinions and contributing to a global discussion. Our personal truth is a conglomerate of our values, beliefs, ideas, ideals, attitudes and ethics. When we know our personal truth, we know who we are and who we are not; we know what we stand for and what is important to us. The phrase ‘being true to ourselves’ means living according to our personal truth

Before we can express our personal truth, we need to know what it is. Expression Blue helps us slow down and hear our inner voice. Often, we use creativity as a means to access this inner wisdom. If we cut off from our creativity and our inner voice for too long, we loose touch with our true selves. Sometimes we become too busy and forget to be still enough to hear the creative voice that wants to express through us. This can also happen when we use all our energy being creative for others instead of for ourselves. Creative people need to ensure they are making time for creative reconnection with themselves. They must take care that the pressure to perform on a creative level does not destroy their love for creating. The creative process is highly therapeutic and just as important as the creative end product. Creative expression sets the inner child free, bringing us a joy that nourishes the soul. Expression Blue can be evidence of creative skills being used well, but it can just as easily be a timely reminder to reconnect with our inner muse.

This colour challenges us to speak our truth without violating the right of others to do the same. When Expression Blue is well balanced within us, we celebrate differences between people rather than feeling threatened by them. Everybody has their own personal truth and each person’s truth is true for them, even if it is not true for someone else. It is important to know ourselves and share our truth via self-expression without hiding away for fear of being judged. Creative expression is a healthy way to discover, explore and express our personal truth without forcing it on others.
Our personal truth may differ from that of family members and friends or the society we live in. When people around us hold vastly different views from our own, it can be difficult to maintain loyalty to our own truth. Other people may judge us or put pressure on us to conform to their views. We can then become lost, confused and uncertain about who we really are, especially if our personal truth was not that strong and clear to begin with, or we tend to have trouble maintaining personal boundaries.
When people feel threatened by differences of opinion and belief, they can become judgemental and argumentative. They say ‘my truth is right, yours is wrong’. Some people go out of their way to avoid contact with people who have a truth different from their own, almost as though they are afraid their own personal truth will be contaminated. Some parents take this approach with their children, carefully shielding them from any unwanted influences.
Exposure to different perspectives, however, helps us grow. In deciding who we choose to be as individuals, we occasionally need to release old opinions and values because they no longer fit us. Perhaps they never really suited us in the first place. Part of developing our personal truth involves consciously deciding whether to keep or discard conditioning from childhood, family and society. As we establish our personal truth, we make decisions about what works for us and what does not. This is an ongoing process.
People who wear too much Expression Blue can become unbalanced and tip over into Zealous Blue, or they may become a little obsessed with telling the truth at all costs. These people self-disclose information that other people really do not need to hear, often to their own detriment and the dismay of others around them. Shaman Blue is an excellent therapeutic colour for excessive or inappropriate honesty.

Guidelines for a good aura reading

I’m currently editing the ‘big book’, Aura Colour Therapy, and thought I’d share this page, posted below. Also, I’ve decided to offer two versions of the Aura Sketch and Reading, so keep your eyes open for a blog about that… I’ll make sure I let everyone know when I update the Aura Sketching page, to keep you in the loop!

A good reading should validate and confirm what you already know deep inside. This is especially relevant if you know yourself well and you are quite spiritually aware. Pay particular attention to any information that is repeated and treat prediction in a light-hearted manner because predictions don’t always come true. If you are having trouble relating to the reading, it sometimes helps to talk it through with a close and trusted friend.

If part of the reading advises you to do something you are already doing, think of this as praise from Spirit and confirmation you are on the right track. You are so well tuned in to your higher guidance that you have already heard the spiritual messages you need to hear and you are actively applying them in your life. Keep it up! If you aren’t doing what is advised and the advice resonates with you, get started on heeding that advice!

If part of the reading suggests you have positive qualities but you disagree, it might help to get a second opinion from a friend. Self-esteem issues can blind us to our own positive qualities but a good friend should be able to help you see them clearly. If your friend agrees that you don’t have these positive traits or attitudes, the reading may be advising you to develop them. It can help to focus on breathing this colour into your body while you imagine embodying the positive personality traits associated with the colour.

If part of the reading suggests you have negative feelings or personality traits you cannot relate to, a friend might be able to see what you cannot, or you could try changing the wording. For example, the reading might say you are angry but you can’t relate because you don’t feel angry, you feel frustrated. To me, frustration is a form of anger! Rather than getting stuck on specific words, try using other words that have a similar meaning and see if you can relate. If it still isn’t making sense, ask yourself if the colour in question represents a past personality trait or emotion. If so, this state could soon be triggered back to the surface by a coming challenge. This is an opportunity for you to heal and resolve the issue a little more deeply than you may have already done.

Lastly, keep in mind that the colours in your aura are affected by life situations and people around you, so some of your aura colours can represent other people in your life. This is particularly relevant with colours found in the Heart Chakra position. Finding other people’s colours in your aura can also be an issue if you have become over-involved in another person’s life, or when someone is having a big influence on you. For example, I often find that the aura sketches of over-involved mothers feature more colours from their children’s auras than they do from their own

Use a combination of intuition and logic to decide how each reading applies to you and your life. If there is anything that doesn’t make sense, place it aside and focus instead of what is useful from the reading. Sometimes the bits that don’t make sense now will make more sense later on. For this reason, it can be a good idea to record each reading.

Intuition Purple : position meanings

FullSizeRender-5Intuition Purple

COLOUR POSITIONS

Above Head – Your spiritual guidance is helping you strengthen your intuition about events, situations and people in the future, past or present moment. Intuition comes in all shapes and sizes. Clarivoyance will give you intuitive mental images. Clairaudience will give you intuitive mental thoughts, words, songs or phrases. Clairsentience will give you empathetic feelings, sensations and emotions. Claircognisance will give you a sudden, deep sense of knowing and clairgustience will guide you via taste and smell.

Head – Your third eye is being stimulated. This will strengthen intuition in general, but it is especially handy for strengthening clairvoyance (intuitive mental images). An active third eye helps you visualise which can improve both your imagination and your ability to think in a visually symbolic or metaphorical manner. This ability to think abstractly can enhance your problem solving skills, and give you deep insights into people and situations.

Throat – Your intuition is shining through in the things you say. Perhaps you have been passing spiritual messages through to others. People who wear Intuition Purple around the throat sometimes have a knack for knowing exactly what to say, when to say it and how to say it. Others feel as though they are channelling verbal or written guidance through from spirit. Intuition Purple in this position strengthens clairaudience which is intuition arising as mental thoughts, words, songs or phrases.

Arms – Trust your intuitive feelings and listen to your heart! You are probably highly attuned to other people and your surroundings, especially on an emotional level. You may have an empathic ability to read others, or a gift for counselling people and helping them with relationship issues. You are good at sensing the emotional atmosphere in a room, and can be sensitive to psychic residue left on objects or in environments.

Hands – You are probably focused on issues to do with your work or career future. Keep exploring various possible pathways and listen to your intuition as you do so. One particular option will seem to call you or tug on you. Or perhaps you work as a psychic, or use your intuition to help you do your job better.

Hips – Listen to your intuition because it is trying to communicate with you. If you practice trusting your intuition, it will get stronger. Part of trust your intuition is about trusting yourself. Do you trust yourself? If not, how could you build a more trusting relationship with yourself?

Legs – Your intuition is about to become stronger.

Authenticity Green

The text is from my book, Aura Colour Therapy. The image is a picture of one of my Aura Cards. Both books and card deck are available for purchase

Screenshot 2015-10-02 16.08.29Authenticity Green is a slightly darker version of Healing Green. This is one of those rare colours that visually sings or ‘rings clear’ like a bell, almost to the point of being a colour I perceive as a sound, rather than an image or feeling. Think of clear tones with rounded fullness and absolute clarity and you will get a sense for the sound of this colour. On other levels, this colour makes me think of an oasis in the desert.

Being your natural self is what makes your inner beauty shine through. The very first time I ever encountered this colour was on an inner journey. I was watching an inner self riding a bike when she fell into a mud puddle. As I reached over to help her up, tangled with bike, covered with mud, she was laughing. It was such a lovely sound and I was quite taken with her natural beauty. It didn’t seem to matter that she was covered in mud. Her beauty shone through like a light and glowed from her, making the mud itself seem beautiful.

The Resourceful Aura

Screenshot 2015-10-02 11.39.54Resourceful is an aura frequency that appears in a range of shades that could be described as golden-yellow, ochre-yellow, golden-brown, yellow-brown. Everyone ‘wears’ this aura colour frequency a little differently. For example, in very grounded people it will seem more brown, in thinkers it will seem more yellow, and with those who are very heart-based, it takes on a warm glow.

If you have been noticing this colour around you lately, or you feel very drawn to it, it might be reflecting a colour frequency in your aura. Some colours are temporary: they reflect current experiences, feelings and thoughts. Others colours are more permanent: they reflect deeper personality traits, habitual emotions, core values and/or ingrained attitudes/beliefs.

Gold – Aura Card/Colour

Gold

Key words, phrases and images:

Majestic, regal, rich, magnificent, special, enlightened, inspired, charismatic, confident, egotistical, fame, fortune. Shiny polished metal, soft shafts of sunlight. Golden glimmer, glitter, glint, sheen or glow. Sun gods, illuminated lettering, golden halos, crowns, thrones, armour and coins.

Colour Characteristics:

The sacred masculinity of Gold forms one half of the collective wholeness of White. Silver forms the other. This is the Taoist concept of Yin and Yang, with each opposite forming one half of the whole, interdependent and inextricably linked, each providing definition to the other. Whilst Silver reflects receptive yin archetypes in the form of female goddesses, the moon and night, Gold is more indicative of extroverted yang archetypes such as male gods, the sun and day. Troubleshooting for people with Aura Cards

If you have a deck of Aura Cards and you find this colour a challenge to read, this section is for you!

This generally isn’t an easy colour to talk about with most people. Generally, if I sense a client is unable to explore sexual issues and/or power issues with me, I simply glide over the top of it and don’t delve too deep. There’s no point in pushing up against boundaries that won’t budge, or offending someone, and I have great respect for the privacy of others.

If a client is comfortable talking about their sex lives, this card can be a fantastic ice-breaker to get the conversation rolling. If not, (or if you have drawn this card for yourself and you can’t relate to the sexual side of it) you might like to explore the following:

*Kundalini energy: We have a potent sleeping energy at the base of our spine that awakens and rises up the spine, through the chakras, as we awaken and grow spiritually. Research, discuss, explore…. what is kundalini energy, and what does it mean to you? Visualise a red fire of light rising gently and slowly from your base chakra, winding its way upwards along your spine and slowly, carefully, gently awakening each energy centre as it rises. “I am balanced in the expression of my fire” is a useful mantra to use with this visualisation.

*Breaking rules and not being a people pleaser anymore. Explore issues to do with rules, breaking rules, individuality, approval from others, rebellion, and so on

*Teenagers, issues from your teenage years and your inner teenager. The card itself can represent any of these three.

*Taking risks. This colour will generally encourage us to take pretty crazy risks. If you tend to play it overly safe and stay in your comfort zones, this could be a good thing! But it’s worth exploring any tendency to leap before you look.

*Short-term gratification. This colour stimulates our desire for short-term gratification and dampens down our ability to honour our long term, deeper values. Are you compromising your deeper values for a quick fix or a brief flash of pleasure? What might you be risking?

*Frustration. In many people, this colour is blocked, or being held back. Think of it as primal, base-chaklra passion. It wants power and pleasure and uninhibited self-expression. We usually hold back on that because it isn’t socially acceptable to express, or because we have conflicting values….. consider what the costs are when it comes to self-control and ask yourself if their is a safe/safer way to acknowledge your fire and get your base needs met without hurting anyone or violating your deeper values.  Continue reading

Loyalty Pink

This blog is for anyone with a deck of my Aura Cards. Please contact me to enquire about purchasing.

This colour is a reddish pink or a pinkish red. The Aura Card itself on my screen is a good example of the pinker version of this frequency, while the softer freedom and loyaltyreddish colour featured in the bottom left of this healing sketch is a good example of the red version of this colour. Individual auras express the colour differently (as do different computer screens!)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Colour Perception:

Loyalty Pink has a stable, slow frequency more reminiscent of Brown colours. As a body state, it makes you feel as though loving and ever-patient care and concern for the well being of others has slowly seeped out from your heart chakra and nestled itself happily into the physical tissues of your entire body. This colour makes you feel as though your heart is beating very steady and slow, like a plough horse plodding ever on, regardless of the surrounding conditions. Come rain, snow, storm, flood or draught, the faithful heart of Loyalty Pink stays the course.

Reading the Aura Cards

The missing Aura Card stock rediscovered!

The missing Aura Card stock rediscovered!

I had a sudden idea yesterday, to create a Facebook group for Reading the Aura Cards. Reading the cards is quite an art and it can help if you have a group of people on hand to help you with explore possible interpretations. If you have a deck, or someone (like me) has done a reading for you and you are curious about some of the colours, you might like to join the group.

There are quite a few Aura Card and Book sets scattered throughout Australia and up until the other day, I had thought we’d seen the last of the first edition with its lovingly hand-made deck of cards. I really didn’t have then energy to create more: what a labour of love! Then a family member unearthed an entire bag of Aura Card decks!

So now I have some stock to tide me over while I muddle my way through the process of creating the first commercial deck. Being me, it’s imperative that I procrastinate and change my mind a million times before I get started, otherwise there will be a miserable trail of half-completed and discarded projects scattered in my wake. 2015-01-08 21.10.41

I’ve been conferring with a few people who use the cards as much as I do, both professionally and personally, and have received a very firm cry of “No!” to my initial idea of reducing the number of cards in each deck. So at this stage it looks like we will stick with the original 88 cards. But we all agree I need to change the name of “Aesthetic” back to the very first name I gave it when I was starting to read the aura: “Space”. The glorious minty-green aura frequency has always been a tricky one to name!

My current idea is to do some small edits to the original book and then get started on a new one. I’ve had an “Aura Colour Magic” book rolling around in my mind for a while now. It would have more emphasis on creative visualisation and colour-based tools such as crystals. But that’s just one of many ideas…..
