You might be looking at this flat 2D image on the page and thinking “it’s beautiful!” (I agree!), but keep in mind, aura colours are three-dimensional, moving, and experienced by the auric practitioner in a multi-sensory manner. A specific aura colour can be beautiful in one aura or situation, but quite ugly or toxic in another. You simply can’t capture the range of expression or the sensory detail in a flat 2D image! Neither can I find one name to describe each colour that adequately sums up it’s entire character, both positive and negative.
In its most positive form, this emerald green colour is like a dense forest of greenery. When it becomes unhealthy, it can take on a green-black slimy sheen, looking more like a nest of writhing snakes, or oil on water at the bottom of a dark well. The darker forms of this colour can have an acrid or unpleasant charcoal taste, like something burned that is also foul.
When I find this colour in the aura during a healing, it often appears as tangled energy lines in the heart chakra, or in the aura space between the client’s heart chakra and that of someone they love (and sometimes hate!). My job as the healer is to untangle the lines and bring the client’s awareness to the unhealthy relationship dynamic they are caught up in, so that they can begin to overcome it. The untangled energy lines makes this work of self-change easier for the client to accomplish, by providing temporary clarity, but they will re-tangle themselves eventually if the client doesn’t work on changing their behaviours. It’s a bit like going to a masseur: the massage therapist can massage out the knots in your muscles, but the knots will keep coming back if you don’t address stress, posture and general self-care.

The text is from my book, Aura Colour Therapy. The image is a picture of one of my Aura Cards. Both books and card deck are available for purchase.
Authenticity Green is a slightly darker version of Healing Green. This is one of those rare colours that visually sings or ‘rings clear’ like a bell, almost to the point of being a colour I perceive as a sound, rather than an image or feeling. Think of clear tones with rounded fullness and absolute clarity and you will get a sense for the sound of this colour. On other levels, this colour makes me think of an oasis in the desert.
Being your natural self is what makes your inner beauty shine through. The very first time I ever encountered this colour was on an inner journey. I was watching an inner self riding a bike when she fell into a mud puddle. As I reached over to help her up, tangled with bike, covered with mud, she was laughing. It was such a lovely sound and I was quite taken with her natural beauty. It didn’t seem to matter that she was covered in mud. Her beauty shone through like a light and glowed from her, making the mud itself seem beautiful.

This blog is for anyone with a deck of my Aura Cards. Please contact me to enquire about purchasing.
This colour is a reddish pink or a pinkish red. The Aura Card itself on my screen is a good example of the pinker version of this frequency, while the softer reddish colour featured in the bottom left of this healing sketch is a good example of the red version of this colour. Individual auras express the colour differently (as do different computer screens!)
Loyalty Pink has a stable, slow frequency more reminiscent of Brown colours. As a body state, it makes you feel as though loving and ever-patient care and concern for the well being of others has slowly seeped out from your heart chakra and nestled itself happily into the physical tissues of your entire body. This colour makes you feel as though your heart is beating very steady and slow, like a plough horse plodding ever on, regardless of the surrounding conditions. Come rain, snow, storm, flood or draught, the faithful heart of Loyalty Pink stays the course.

After recently making one of my magic raw vegan cakes and posting the recipe up on my vegan naturopathy site, one of my friends said “Yes, but where is the information about the cake’s magic?!” She misses the chakra cake posts! So I promised I would write a blog about the magic in this cake. I usually set the healing intent for a cake before I begin making it but this time the cake making process kind of swept me up and I became totally lost in making the cake simply for the pure joy of it.
“So does this cake have any magic in it?” I asked Spirit.
Of course it does!, came the reply. I’ve certainly been feeling a lot happier and lighter since making it, and every time I have a piece I feel all floaty and soft afterwards.
“So tell me about this magic”, I said to Spirit, and promptly pulled a series of aura cards. Continue reading “Magic cake – Raising heart chakra frequency”
This is a sketch of a flower fairy I met on my Wildflower Spirit Journey through Central Australia. She belongs to a family of flowers called “fan” or “hand” flowers, because of their unique one-sided shape, but my inner child thinks of her as a “moth” flower, because she looks like a moth when her petals are only half opened. Here is a snippet from my book…. … Continue reading Healing Meditation : Fan Flower
I made this cake to align my heart chakra, third eye and base chakras. I am calling forth deep passion stirring in my heart, awaiting rebirth, like a flower bulb hidden under layers of snow in the winter, waiting for spring to come. I feel this passion grow legs, beautiful anchoring lines that guide my path forwards. I see with the eyes of my heart, a single thread of passion … Continue reading Berry Bliss Cake
I’m loving this year so far. I’ve been walking every day, sometimes twice daily. I have just discovered the marvellous world of podcasts, after some encouragement from my stepdad, cousin and brother. My stepdad helped me set up a TED Talk app on my phone, my brother set up the podcast app and my cousin has been raving for years about the joy of podcasts. My world has opened up just that little more! Today I discovered a few authors and books I have written down on my wish list, after listening to a few podcasts on my 6km walk.
The first healing class for the year started back today. I have half a dozen different classes (4 people to a class). Each one is a little different with the regular students learning from each other as well as me. I love the small class sixes- so much easier for us to bond, feel safe with each other and get quality one-on-one time. In class today, we talked about the importance of being your authentic self, rather than masking yourself in order to please people, or because you are afraid of judgement and rejection.

Yesterday a friend and her daughter came over for lunch, and they brought with them a few slices of this beautiful cake. It not only looked amazing, it tasted incredible too. I really loved the magic in this cake and could feel its effects on me even before it arrived, while it was being dreamt up and concocted over the weekend. I also felt a beautiful connection with the sacred geometry work incorporated into the cake, taught to my friend by a lovely lady named Starina.
I asked Fiona if she would mind if we created a blog to share with others, featuring the cake, her recipe and a link to Starina’s star symbols, and she said yes! So here is a story from Fiona, with photos scattered throughout, and a link to Starina’s work at the bottom. Fiona’s journey has very much mirrored my own this year, and it has been such a gift to receive this cake and the symbol embedded within, at the perfect moment, from two such beautiful women. This has transformed my heart. Continue reading “The Forgiveness Cake”
I’m making a potion for a client, an energy remedy with a herbal component.
The herbal carrier, or core remedy, is Nettles. Nettles is incredible on a spirit medicine level, working in very powerful ways to clear anger and resentment out of the aura. It’s particularly effective for cleansing, balancing and stabilising the solar plexus chakra, but in this instance, Nettles in going to be used to cleanse the heart chakra. Another way of saying this is that by clearing old anger out of the solar plexus, the heart chakra will become more stable, open, powerful…. because it’s being supported by a peaceful and empowered sense of self!
On a physical level, Nettles is a blood cleansing and building remedy. What does this mean? It means Nettles cleanses rubbish out of the tissues as well as enriching the red blood cells, making them more robust. There is definitely a sense of red-base-chakra energy about nettles, alongside it’s yellow sunlight-cutting-through-the-crap medicine! I always see yellow shafts or sword-like light when I work with nettles…. it makes me think of archangel Michael with his tie-cutting sword, or the silver energy of lightening bolts cutting through the darkness and waking us up with a bang.
