Nature Magic and Gaian Attunements

Today is the one year anniversary of the first time we arrived here on our block of land in Northern NSW and I thought I’d mark the occasion with a blog.

It’s been an intense week! My sister and daughter invited me in via video link to hang with them during their blood moon ceremony they were doing last week. This is the second time now, that we’ve come together to do some family healing magic. The first time was on the 22nd of the 3rd, 2017. At the time, my husband and I were on the east coast searching for a new place to live. There was flooding everywhere and we got bogged! My husband kindly played the hero and I left him with the muddy saga while I caught the train to Brisbane and spent an evening doing magic with my sister and daughter. The date worked out nicely, seeing as we were keen to take advantage of the fact that there was some good number magic happening with our ages: 44, 33 and 22. I’m an 11, by the way, in numerology!

We had an incredible shift happen, all three of us, a year later on the 22nd of march. All of us could see the work we’d done a year prior, unfolding perfectly, ripening potently. Our intention, always, is to unravel unhealthy patterns and wounds in our ancestral line. On Friday night, we agreed we were doing womb magic… a sense of shedding old skins and planting the seed of new intentions, whilst also honouring the depths of our power and wisdom as women. We discussed some of the patterns we see in ourselves, in our family line, that we don’t like so much, and in the process of exploring them together, came to understand these patterns with greater clarity. We all found our own words to describe what we were releasing, but in essence, they were solar plexus wounds, self-worth/ego wounds.

I was guided through my part of the ceremony by my spirit tree, the native kurrajong I befriended on my first visit. I go to her almost every day and she teaches me things, refining my capacity for meditation and helping me with my healing work, both for myself and others. The Tree, as I refer to ‘her’, is my connection with Gaia, the Earth Goddess. Last year, Gaia reattuned my hand chakras. She was taking the attunement deeper, higher. The first time she attuned me was in 1996, at the beginning of my journey as a healer. She pushed clear quartz crystal shards into the palms of my hands, showing me how they would emit colour when I focused my intent. Then she told me to go forth and heal the Earth, heal the people.

After the second attunement last year, Gaia asked me to attune others to her healing frequency, which I did on my return to Darwin in the form of a Gaian Healing Attunement Workshop. During the blood moon ceremony, which for me took place over about three days, Gaia gave me another attunement. She brought pieces of jet into my aura, a black crystal made from wood, running them down through the outside of my right arm. There was this wonderful sense that she was spinning the energy of the jet crystal into long thin energy lines, and laying them throughout the length of my arm. They converged at a point on the inside of my wrist, and then, in a most spiderman-like fashion, stretched out through my fingertips. Then Gaia placed a black onyx crystal on the inside of my arm near my elbow, saying it was functioning as a “ballast”.

I feel almost self-conscious writing this, because I know how touchy and superstitious people can be about the colour black! It’s sad, really, because it’s beautiful. Think of the night sky, filled with stars! Black is a womb colour, too, so I found that quite apt. As I’ve written elsewhere, I learned at the beginning of my journey as an aura sketcher, to never use black because people get ridiculously silly about it and assume it’s some sign of evil or imminent death Oh no! I knew it, I’m a bad person! or Oh no! She’s drawn black! I’m going to die!  Can you imagine me rolling my eyes? In the interests of less drama and more peace in my life, I quickly learned to replace the colour black with dark colours like dark blue, dark green, dark red and dark grey. Each one represents various facets of black, some of which are ‘positive’ and some of which can certainly be ‘negative’.

Anyone familiar with black crystals will know that black crystals are protective. In a way, you could almost imagine them cloaking your aura with an invisibility shield, and hiding you from harm. Some of them absorb and melt negativity away. Others filter it out of your aura. And crystals like Jet are used for cleansing. I love the new pattern that has been installed in my right arm and hand! There is this wonderful sense of being able to manoeuvre easily though the shadows of another’s pain during healing, without being touched by it myself. I also love the ‘weight’ these dark frequency crystals lend my healer’s arm and hand. I feel like I can more easily see the core of the issue, without any messing around. And this is perhaps being reflected in the healings I’m doing at the moment.

I haven’t felt like using my Aura Cards lately. I’ve had a sense of needing to come back to the purity of ‘seeing/feeling/hearing/knowing/etc’ the aura directly. For years, I needed the shield of the cards to mute the intensity of this work for me, to stand between me and the client so I could rest my psychic senses a little, over the course of multiple hour-long sessions on a daily basis. Here, at my writer’s retreat, I am doing a little healing work, but I’m maintaining some distance and space so I can rest my boundaries! I’m doing this by offering short 10-15 minute healings and/or readings which I record as an audio file in my own time, and then send via text. I love the straight-to-the-point efficiency of these shorter healings and the way I can maintain a very high frequency state throughout.

Besides being blessed with a new attunement, I’m also blessed to have watched the kurrajong tree bursting into bloom over the past week. She is stunning! Her flowers are like tiny bells tinkling their healing magic through my aura. And today, I was doubly blessed when one of the local wallabies finally decided we were friendly, coming to eat grass just a few metres away from where we were standing.

Aura Spray – Courage and Synchronicity

photoToday I am making some Aura Sprays for clients. I make all of my own gem, flower and colour essences. Two of the beautiful Aura Colour essences being used in an Aura Spray today are Courage Orange and Synchronicity Pink

Courage Orange is a “Phoenix riding from the ashes” colour. It brings all the warm colours back into the aura after they have been burned out or smothered. This is a fantastic recovery colour for exhaustion, depression and creative block. It helps us overcome our fears and embrace our inner strengths. This colour always reminds me of a lions mane!

2015-05-29 12.43.58Synchronicity Pink brings faith and magic back into our lives. It restores a feeling of flow, of everything falling smoothly into place. Having rediscovered our faith in divine timing and a sense that we are supported by the universe, we let go of our fears and stop trying to control what cannot be controlled. Viewed with psychic vision, this rich, deep pink aura colour contains silver and red sparkles.

Berry Bliss Cake

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI made this cake to align my heart chakra, third eye and base chakras.

I am calling forth deep passion stirring in my heart, awaiting rebirth, like a flower bulb hidden under layers of snow in the winter, waiting for spring to come. I feel this passion grow legs, beautiful anchoring lines that guide my path forwards.

I see with the eyes of my heart, a single thread of passion cast forth like a beam of light from my third eye into the unknown, seeking what will nourish the growth in my heart.

I feel a deep strength rising up from my base, like a foal who suddenly finds her legs and unfolds upwards to stand tall, gazing at me unflinchingly.

I call forth horse energy to guide and nourish me. I see myself walking down an ancient pathway into a place of gathering. There are many others. We sing as we walk. Bowls are balanced on our heads, filled with water and flowers for blessing. We wash each other’s faces clean from the dust of travel. We cleanse our third eyes and the backs of our necks and we offer this old energy to the stars, that it might be made new again.

Now we stand in a circle and pray to the heavens. A child is born amongst us, at the centre of the circle in a flash of star-light. She is horse energy and she is me. We run alongside each other, we pace, we step, we nudge, we glide…..

I feel a deep patience and knowing welling inside me. I feel stillness that runs deep; stillness full of potency and grace.

We are One.

The Forgiveness Cake

Fiona 11-11-14 138Yesterday a friend and her daughter came over for lunch, and they brought with them a few slices of this beautiful cake. It not only looked amazing, it tasted incredible too. I really loved the magic in this cake and could feel its effects on me even before it arrived, while it was being dreamt up and concocted over the weekend. I also felt a beautiful connection with the sacred geometry work incorporated into the cake, taught to my friend by a lovely lady named Starina.

I asked Fiona if she would mind if we created a blog to share with others, featuring the cake, her recipe and a link to Starina’s star symbols, and she said yes! So here is a story from Fiona, with photos scattered throughout, and a link to Starina’s work at the bottom. Fiona’s journey has very much mirrored my own this year, and it has been such a gift to receive this cake and the symbol embedded within, at the perfect moment, from two such beautiful women. This has transformed my heart.  Continue reading

Wholesome Cake

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the first ‘magic’ cake I have made in months. It was a bit tricky finding the resources I needed while travelling throughout Europe, so for the most part I just surrendered and went with the flow. And when I first came home, my sciatic injury, which had flared up due to travel, drained me of any spare energy I might have had for creating magic in the kitchen. I eased my way in slowly, first with some tahini ice-cream biscuits, then some vegan cheese and finally this, a return to form with a new creation.

“What shall I make it for?”, I asked my husband. Sometimes, when I make desserts, they are just desserts. But I was in the mood for a little kitchen spell-craft.

“Structure. Support.”, he replied.

“Do you mean physically, on a musculoskeletal level?”, I asked, “For my hip injury?”

“Yes. A healing cake.”

I agreed, and set this intention as I gathered the ingredients, but as I went along, it felt like there were other layers or aspects to this cake. It needed to be simple and humble. It needed to be wholesome and to feel like comfort food. It also needed to have a light-hearted, uplifting mood to it, something that gave me hope.

I like the word wholesome. It seems innocent and mature at the same time, full and round without being pretentious or too self-conscious, luscious without being cheap and tacky, simple yet satisfying.

When I eat this cake, I feel like I am reconnecting with the simple things in life, as though I am following a trail of crumbs back into my centre, back into the warm light within that sustains me.

When I made it, I used brazil nuts for the base because they are so solid and strong. This seemed to match nicely with my husbands ‘structure and support’ intention. While making it, I visualised my auric field and my musculoskeletal system realigning themselves.

I pre-soaked the dates. This is the first time I have soaked anything. I instinctively felt as though I needed the softness of the water and I loved the way the dates swelled in the water, like an oasis in the desert drinking in nourishment. When I de-pipped the soaked dates, the flesh parted gently in my hands, as though I were peeling back layers of the aura and removing blockages with great ease. I kept the bulk of the soaked dates for the body of the cake, which needed to be softer, smoother and more moist, but I added three of them to the base to tie it all together.

I have been having a love affair with bananas lately, so they had to be in the cake. They fit the brief: simple, wholesome, light-hearted and nourishing!

There is something almost buttery or pancake batterish about this mix. I really enjoyed licking the bowl afterwards! The sunflower seeds are the really special ingredient here. They added a chewiness and body to the cake that it might not otherwise have had. Sunflower seeds full of sunlight to go with my yellow bananas. Delicious. As with the brazil nuts in the base, this ingredient is honouring the ‘structure and support’ intention for this cake. When I was a child, we had giant sunflowers in the garden and I loved harvesting the seeds.

Mango Banana Cake

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis is a cake I’ve made for a friend. She LOVES macca so I thought I’d make her a macca cake. I don’t know much about it and it took me a while to track some down. Got some from Greenies, Rapid Creek Darwin, in powder form. It’s one of these faddy Peruvian foods. I wonder if these food exports help or hinder the Peruvians? I wonder how it affects the land? A research project for another day, perhaps. Nope, strike that, I’m searching for it now- burning question, needs answering.

Passion Cake

I’ve just made a new cake!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This one is gorgeous. It’s a passion cake, stirring fire in the belly and raising it to the heart chakra. This cakes ignite passion in the following ways:

Aphrodisiacal, sexual passion

I made sure this cake connects the base and heart chakra together, so I doubt it would stir sexual fire without there already being an existing love between two parties. The base chakra is lots of fun but personally, I think it’s fire is more balanced when it’s connected with the heart chakra. It can be a little heart-breaking, as a practitioner, listening to the following stories from clients about disconnection between the heart and base chakra:

The Cave

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis is one of the healing sketches I use in my clinic. Like all the sketches, it has a range of uses, which I am slowly learning over time. I channeled 20 healing sketches through over the space of a week, and now Spirit is showing me how to use them.

Colours, shapes and patterns on their own can have power, because they influence the mindbody via our vision, but sketches can be imbued with intent and vibrational energy. We might not be able to visually see this vibrational energy, but our body can feel it. Think of this vibrational energy as being like a three-dimensional, sacred geometrical or organic pattern. This pattern is absorbed into our aura and from here impacts the mindbody.

Confidence Cake (pineapple, pistachio and passionfruit)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWhile this cake has a lot of diverse magic within it, it’s main action is to boost self-confidence.

COLOUR MAGIC

For students with Aura Cards: The colours of a food can tell us what the food provides or treats. The food helps us taps into the strengths and balance out the weaknesses of each aura colour it presents us with.

Pineapple:

The yellow colour of pineapples is a glorious food for the solar plexus, helping us to digest food, ideas and experiences. The aura frequency it stimulates is a blend of Warmth Yellow, Happiness Yellow, Vision Yellow, Resourceful Yellow and Courage Orange. Together, these colours have an inspiring, calming, heart-warming, grounding and strengthening action on the aura or mind-body.

Pistachio:

Pistachio is a purple, gold and green, linking the crown chakra, solar plexus chakra and the heart chakra. The specific aura colours we see here are Reflection Purple, Authenticity Green, Wisdom Green, Anxiety Yellow and Fantasy Yellow. Together, these colours stir the imagination, helping us to re-vision ourselves. These potential new self-identities are based on our individuality rather than our need for approval from others.

Passionfruit:

As with pistachio, passionfruit contains green, gold and purple aura frequencies. The specific aura colours here are Defensive Purple, Performance Green, Rumination Yellow and Gold. Together, these colour brighten the aura and make us more comfortable being in the lime-light, without losing ourselves in ego.

FOOD MEDICINE

Pineapple

The taste is awakening like that of lemon, but the action is less grounding, with less ‘wake-you-up’ silver sharpness making the mind alert. Instead, pineapple’s sour softness spreads and melts on the tongue, inspiring an expansion and lifting of the aura. This brings about a gradual awakening in the higher mind, a subtle blending of wonder and revelation, as though one’s world has just opened up and new possibilities are occurring to you. I love the ‘standing back’ capacity pineapple gives us; the ability to just sit and watch new ideas dawn in our own minds without immediately rushing to act on them. Instead, a series of revelations are captured slowly over time, and a decision regarding action is made after weighing up the revelations as a whole. Rather than choosing between these ideas, we find the best parts of each idea and link together in unique ways to create a completely new vision for ourselves and our life.

To access this part of the cake’s magic, I recommend eating 1 piece every 4 days for two months.

Pistachio

The pistachio taste tones the heart chakra, making it tougher, more discerning and less likely to trust others inappropriately. It stop the heart chakra from ‘leaking’ i.e. giving excess energy to others in ways that are disempowering for oneself and others. This food medicine helps us stand back from our own nervous behaviour in social situations so we can let it go with love.

Passionfruit:

Passionfruit taste has a pizz-zang that engages our creative focus. Instead of flitting our attention here and there, we immerse ourselves in tasks with incredible clarity, attention to detail and the energy to complete what we have started. I love the way passionflower balances this intense focus by helping us laugh with pleasure when light-hearted moments interrupt our focus.

SPIRIT MEDICINE

Pineapple:

When I made a spirit connection with pineapple fruit, this is what it told me about its unique spirit medicine:

“I will help you open up your heart to stronger connections with others, connections that will benefit your higher vision. I will help you be drawn to the people who can help facilitate your dreams. All the characters in your life are performing a purpose. I will help draw to you those people who will empower, encourage and strengthen you. Some of them will challenge you at times, but if you can rise to the challenge, you will grow profoundly as a person.”

Pistachio:

When I ‘look’ at the aura after it absorbs pistachio, I see yellow light beaming upwards from the solar plexus chakra (upper abdomen), sending light through the heart chakra so we can see our own beauty. Not physical beauty, but heart-beauty. Pistachio helps us like ourselves enough to appreciate our good points so we can see and appreciate our own potential. If you have a tendency to over-criticise yourself and to only see what needs improving, pistachio will help you relax and just be.

Passionfruit:

Passionfruit spirit medicine is a bit like the spirit medicine of peacocks, but a little more earthy. It helps us tap into our inner showmanship when it is strategic to do so, while also helping us stand back and watch happily when it’s someone else’s turn to shine. It also enhances our ability to convey ideas or to tell a story in a way that will engage and inspire others.
