Video Blog Experiment

Hello! I’m just experimenting with creating a video blog. My first one ever! This was a spontaneous experiment that branched off from the playing I’m doing with video-creation in general at the moment, for the on-line courses I’m creating. Next time I’ll make sure the lighting is better, but it’s a good start; toe in the water, so to speak!

This video is a dear-diary business-catch up. I’ll do another one soon, because there are a few events coming up that I forgot to tell you about!

Exploring Holism in ‘Wildflower Spirit Journey’

Wildflower Spirit Journey is Omanisa’s latest book. You can read more about this book on the companion website, and you can reserve your copy of the book and help raise funds for printing by making a pre-order here.

While writing Wildflower Spirit Journey, there was a subtle theme that kept popping up for me over and over again: holism. I saw it in my mother’s nature-based spirituality, the Aboriginal art I was surrounded by as a child, and the yin-yang teaching style given to me by my spirit guides, Khryse and Tomas.

Both my grandmother and my great-uncle had an enormous childhood influence on my life, imprinting within me their love for nature, science, anatomy and physiology, helping people, wildflowers and photography. My grandmother was a doctor. My great-uncle was an arid zone botanist. And there have been many times through my life I have been tempted to walk in their footsteps, but my love for holism has steered me in other directions.

Food Spirit Medicine

As a healer, I work with spirit guides and spiritual energies from many parts of nature, and with my love for food-as-medicine and my background as a naturopath, I have a special affinity for food spirit medicine.

What is food spirit medicine?

Food spirit medicine is the spiritual healing energy of plants we consume as food. Foods don’t just have a mechanical and chemical impact on the body, they have a spiritual healing effect on the aura or energy field. We don’t have to eat these foods to access the healing from a food, however. In just the same way that we can call on an angel to protect us, or the spirit of a mountain or a tree to ground us and lend us strength, we can call on the spirit of a food to bring us healing medicine. My 2013 transformation

Over the past few months, I let everyone know I was letting go of my dispensing practice and I sold half my stock at cost price to local practitioners. Since then, I have come full circle, but I’m not the person I was when I first began this journey.

My Rainbow Journey

Many years ago I made a rare visit to a psychic for a wonderful reading that still seems relevant to my life in so many ways. I remember her saying “You are studying a degree in order to attain qualifications after your name so you will be taken seriously, but your real training is being provided by your spirit guides”. At the time of the reading I was studying naturopathy and I had no idea I would be working alongside this lady six months later doing my own readings for people.

Sticky Brain Syndrome

Sticky Brain Syndrome is a tongue-in-cheek syndrome that I invented this morning in the shower, after telling my mind, in no uncertain terms, to shut up because I was entirely fed up with hearing the same sentence repeated over and over again. Thankfully, it listened and dutifully went quiet.
