Expression Blue (Aura Colour)

An excerpt from Aura Colour Therapy, written by Omanisa

Expression Blue has depth and sparkle, like an azure blue sky reflected on the surface of a lake, with little glints of white sparkles and streaks, where sunlight strikes the water. On a feeling level, it feels energetic and lively, like a passionate flow of conversation, with animated hand and body movements being used to convey meaning. This colour is particularly therapeutic for anyone wearing grey colours in or around the Throat Chakra.

Often worn by writers, artists, vocalists, journalists, public speakers and people working in the communication industry, Expression Blue gives us a knack for composing with words and communicating with others. Besides representing a personality type, Expression Blue can appear in the aura when we are going through a temporary phase of heightened creative self-expression.

This colour liberates us by giving us a voice. Our voice is our personal truth; our way of being in the world, expressing our opinions and contributing to a global discussion. Our personal truth is a conglomerate of our values, beliefs, ideas, ideals, attitudes and ethics. When we know our personal truth, we know who we are and who we are not; we know what we stand for and what is important to us. The phrase ‘being true to ourselves’ means living according to our personal truth

Before we can express our personal truth, we need to know what it is. Expression Blue helps us slow down and hear our inner voice. Often, we use creativity as a means to access this inner wisdom. If we cut off from our creativity and our inner voice for too long, we loose touch with our true selves. Sometimes we become too busy and forget to be still enough to hear the creative voice that wants to express through us. This can also happen when we use all our energy being creative for others instead of for ourselves. Creative people need to ensure they are making time for creative reconnection with themselves. They must take care that the pressure to perform on a creative level does not destroy their love for creating. The creative process is highly therapeutic and just as important as the creative end product. Creative expression sets the inner child free, bringing us a joy that nourishes the soul. Expression Blue can be evidence of creative skills being used well, but it can just as easily be a timely reminder to reconnect with our inner muse.

This colour challenges us to speak our truth without violating the right of others to do the same. When Expression Blue is well balanced within us, we celebrate differences between people rather than feeling threatened by them. Everybody has their own personal truth and each person’s truth is true for them, even if it is not true for someone else. It is important to know ourselves and share our truth via self-expression without hiding away for fear of being judged. Creative expression is a healthy way to discover, explore and express our personal truth without forcing it on others.
Our personal truth may differ from that of family members and friends or the society we live in. When people around us hold vastly different views from our own, it can be difficult to maintain loyalty to our own truth. Other people may judge us or put pressure on us to conform to their views. We can then become lost, confused and uncertain about who we really are, especially if our personal truth was not that strong and clear to begin with, or we tend to have trouble maintaining personal boundaries.
When people feel threatened by differences of opinion and belief, they can become judgemental and argumentative. They say ‘my truth is right, yours is wrong’. Some people go out of their way to avoid contact with people who have a truth different from their own, almost as though they are afraid their own personal truth will be contaminated. Some parents take this approach with their children, carefully shielding them from any unwanted influences.
Exposure to different perspectives, however, helps us grow. In deciding who we choose to be as individuals, we occasionally need to release old opinions and values because they no longer fit us. Perhaps they never really suited us in the first place. Part of developing our personal truth involves consciously deciding whether to keep or discard conditioning from childhood, family and society. As we establish our personal truth, we make decisions about what works for us and what does not. This is an ongoing process.
People who wear too much Expression Blue can become unbalanced and tip over into Zealous Blue, or they may become a little obsessed with telling the truth at all costs. These people self-disclose information that other people really do not need to hear, often to their own detriment and the dismay of others around them. Shaman Blue is an excellent therapeutic colour for excessive or inappropriate honesty.

The Heart Chakra – Green

IMG_1496This weeks feature chakra in my clinic is the Heart Chakra. There are two colours frequently associated with the Heart Chakra: Green and Pink. This week, we will be exploring the Green ray or aura frequency. You can learn more about the aura and different aura colours here.

In my Aura Colour system, I have many different shades of green, ranging from pale greens to dark greens, from yellow-greens to blue-greens, from olive greens to eucalypt greens.

My spirit guides began teaching me how to read the aura in the mid 1990’s after attending a Reiki course. In 1998 I began providing clients with aura sketches and readings and my chalk box eventually expanded to include over 100 different aura colours.

Years later, I used these chalks to create the Aura Cards I now use as my primary healing and reading method in clinic.

About the Aura Cards

Soul Loss, Retrieval, Soul Return : Aura Card Demo

“Soul Retrieval” is the reclaiming of stolen/forgotten/repressed energies or parts of ourselves that were lost during, or as a result of, past trauma (Soul Loss). Soul Retrieval is like marching into your past, standing up to your demons and saying “I’ll have that part of myself back, thank you very much!”

“Soul Return” is the process of giving back crappy stuff that has been projected onto you, or that you have taken onto yourself, during past trauma. In other words, it’s about giving back stuff that isn’t yours, and never was. There is absolutely no point carrying and attempting to own or process ‘stuff’ that isn’t yours; it’s always best to give it back and let the original owner take care of it. Continue reading

The Crown Chakra blend strengthens our connection with Spirit, your higher self, angels, ascended masters, spirit guides, deceased loved ones and God/Goddess/All That Is.

It also helps us have faith, to “let go and let God”, so to speak. It helps us surrender our ego to divine will and align ourselves with the heart of our higher self.

The Crown Chakra blend is excellent for improving the quality of our meditation and spiritual practise.

WHEN TO USE

*Before meditating or doing any spiritual practise (e.g. forgiveness work)

*When feeling anxious/fearful and lacking faith (in self, others, spirit, life etc)

*In general, to improve your spiritual connection.

*When you want to feel safe, connected and protected.

While the crown chakra is usually depicted as white, violet or purple, these beautiful magenta-pink and purple-pink tones represent the heart of the crown chakra (or higher self).

Synchronicity helps restore magic and faith to our lives, helping us to believe that we’re always in the right place at the right time, having the perfect experience for us. Surrender helps us go with the flow, rather than trying to push or resist the river of life. The pragmatism of accepting what’s happening, and finding a positive way to look at your situation and work with what you’ve got (while believing that in spite of everything you are loved and supported by the universe), can be a very effective remedy for anxiety.

FLOWER ESSENCES

Screen Shot 2016-08-09 at 8.30.58 PMAncestral Flower and Convolvulus

The Ancestral Flower is one of Central Australia’s many native tomato bushes. This amazing flower essence helps us tap into the higher wisdom in our ancestral line. The higher wisdom in your ancestral line is the higher wisdom of your ancestors, which this remedy helps you access. For example, the first time I worked with Ancestral Flower, it helped me tap into my grandmother’s gift for being non-judgemental and unconditionally loving, just Screen Shot 2016-08-09 at 8.30.38 PMwhen I needed it the most!

The white Convolvulus flower is a spiritual initiation remedy. It open doors into spiritual journeys that help us grow, as well as connecting us with with our spirit guides and helpers. It’s also a spiritual rebirth remedy that helps us shed our old skin for renewal.

GEM ELIXIRS

Kunzite and Petalite*

These beautiful white crystals are two of my favourites for the crown chakra. Kunzite, like the Aura Colour remedies in this blend, is linked with the ‘heart of the higher self’. It’s an excellent meditation device, and provides some psychic protection to the aura by rising our frequency and super-charging our boundaries. It also treats anxiety, depression and loss of faith. Petalite is very similar but has the added benefit of being very calming by helping you to rise above turbulent energies and emotions and see things from a broader perspective.

Intuition Purple : position meanings

FullSizeRender-5Intuition Purple

COLOUR POSITIONS

Above Head – Your spiritual guidance is helping you strengthen your intuition about events, situations and people in the future, past or present moment. Intuition comes in all shapes and sizes. Clarivoyance will give you intuitive mental images. Clairaudience will give you intuitive mental thoughts, words, songs or phrases. Clairsentience will give you empathetic feelings, sensations and emotions. Claircognisance will give you a sudden, deep sense of knowing and clairgustience will guide you via taste and smell.

Head – Your third eye is being stimulated. This will strengthen intuition in general, but it is especially handy for strengthening clairvoyance (intuitive mental images). An active third eye helps you visualise which can improve both your imagination and your ability to think in a visually symbolic or metaphorical manner. This ability to think abstractly can enhance your problem solving skills, and give you deep insights into people and situations.

Throat – Your intuition is shining through in the things you say. Perhaps you have been passing spiritual messages through to others. People who wear Intuition Purple around the throat sometimes have a knack for knowing exactly what to say, when to say it and how to say it. Others feel as though they are channelling verbal or written guidance through from spirit. Intuition Purple in this position strengthens clairaudience which is intuition arising as mental thoughts, words, songs or phrases.

Arms – Trust your intuitive feelings and listen to your heart! You are probably highly attuned to other people and your surroundings, especially on an emotional level. You may have an empathic ability to read others, or a gift for counselling people and helping them with relationship issues. You are good at sensing the emotional atmosphere in a room, and can be sensitive to psychic residue left on objects or in environments.

Hands – You are probably focused on issues to do with your work or career future. Keep exploring various possible pathways and listen to your intuition as you do so. One particular option will seem to call you or tug on you. Or perhaps you work as a psychic, or use your intuition to help you do your job better.

Hips – Listen to your intuition because it is trying to communicate with you. If you practice trusting your intuition, it will get stronger. Part of trust your intuition is about trusting yourself. Do you trust yourself? If not, how could you build a more trusting relationship with yourself?

Legs – Your intuition is about to become stronger.

Authenticity Green

The text is from my book, Aura Colour Therapy. The image is a picture of one of my Aura Cards. Both books and card deck are available for purchase

Screenshot 2015-10-02 16.08.29Authenticity Green is a slightly darker version of Healing Green. This is one of those rare colours that visually sings or ‘rings clear’ like a bell, almost to the point of being a colour I perceive as a sound, rather than an image or feeling. Think of clear tones with rounded fullness and absolute clarity and you will get a sense for the sound of this colour. On other levels, this colour makes me think of an oasis in the desert.

Being your natural self is what makes your inner beauty shine through. The very first time I ever encountered this colour was on an inner journey. I was watching an inner self riding a bike when she fell into a mud puddle. As I reached over to help her up, tangled with bike, covered with mud, she was laughing. It was such a lovely sound and I was quite taken with her natural beauty. It didn’t seem to matter that she was covered in mud. Her beauty shone through like a light and glowed from her, making the mud itself seem beautiful.

The Resourceful Aura

Screenshot 2015-10-02 11.39.54Resourceful is an aura frequency that appears in a range of shades that could be described as golden-yellow, ochre-yellow, golden-brown, yellow-brown. Everyone ‘wears’ this aura colour frequency a little differently. For example, in very grounded people it will seem more brown, in thinkers it will seem more yellow, and with those who are very heart-based, it takes on a warm glow.

If you have been noticing this colour around you lately, or you feel very drawn to it, it might be reflecting a colour frequency in your aura. Some colours are temporary: they reflect current experiences, feelings and thoughts. Others colours are more permanent: they reflect deeper personality traits, habitual emotions, core values and/or ingrained attitudes/beliefs.

Gold – Aura Card/Colour

Gold

Key words, phrases and images:

Majestic, regal, rich, magnificent, special, enlightened, inspired, charismatic, confident, egotistical, fame, fortune. Shiny polished metal, soft shafts of sunlight. Golden glimmer, glitter, glint, sheen or glow. Sun gods, illuminated lettering, golden halos, crowns, thrones, armour and coins.

Colour Characteristics:

The sacred masculinity of Gold forms one half of the collective wholeness of White. Silver forms the other. This is the Taoist concept of Yin and Yang, with each opposite forming one half of the whole, interdependent and inextricably linked, each providing definition to the other. Whilst Silver reflects receptive yin archetypes in the form of female goddesses, the moon and night, Gold is more indicative of extroverted yang archetypes such as male gods, the sun and day. Creative Red

This is from Om’s book “Aura Colour Therapy”

Creative Red is a rich, luscious pink-tinged red, full of vibrancy and sparkle. It has a sweet, slightly tart taste, kind of like the feeling of something delicious melting and exploding in your mouth all at once. Red raspberries with icecream is my latest favourite taste-based version of this colour!

This is always an exciting colour to see in the aura, because it represents dynamic change, with a resurgence in energy levels and renewed passion for life. Positive changes that we hoped for or would welcome, are occurring or about to occur.

Putting the spring back in our step, the magic back in our touch and the sparkle back in our eyes, Creative Red makes us feel so wonderfully alive! With the magical power of our creative energy rising up from within us to flow out through our hands, voice and actions, we bounce out of bed bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and we sleep deeply each night, contentedly exhausted from a delightfully satisfying day of work and play.

The resilience and bounce in this colour helps us take difficulties in our stride, switching gears smoothly without missing a beat. By enhancing our creative problem-solving skills, Creative Red empowers us. No longer content to hang back tentatively or give up and play the victim, we grapple playfully with life’s challenges, feeling liberated and free because we know we have choices and the creative power to shape our own experience of reality.

This colour is a godsend for anyone suffering from creative block or burnout. Often appearing in the aura after resolving a stuck, exhausted or burned-out state featuring depression and a loss of motivation or direction, Creative Red heralds a reawakening of one’s inner fire after it has been dead or smouldering for a while. A sure sign of recovery from grey colours such as Depression Grey, Creative Red often follows on from Courage Orange, with little orange sparks amongst grey ashes suddenly burning red and flaming upwards to invigorate the aura.

In order to re-ignite the fire hidden under the ashes, we need rest, recovery, recuperation and recreation. If we do not rest, we burn out. If we burn out, we can no longer produce with the same enthusiasm, quality and authenticity; nor with the same joy. Taking a rest from activities that have drained us is imperative if we are to refill the empty creative well within. By stopping regularly to recharge our batteries, we provide ourselves with nourishing input so we can sustain dynamic output.

Regular holidays, changes of scene and time out are essential to ensure this colour does not get bored and begin to wane. Think of this colour as being like a fire that needs oxygen to survive and thrive. Spend some time considering what your personal oxygen might be. What do you need in order to feel stimulated, inspired, ignited and delighted by life? What helps you to feel full? Be careful not to over stimulate yourself, especially with artificial substances such as caffeine and other drugs, as this can simply cause further burnout.

Some jobs and people can rob you of this essential energy. These energy drainers need to be minimised or avoided where possible. Be assertive and say no to energy thieves, your inner critic and your inner people-pleaser. Encourage and make time for your own creative endeavours without feeling guilty and remember to honour the natural cycles of life. Sometimes your fire will bank down because it needs to rest. Even grey moments have their blessings and we most certainly would not appreciate the beauty of Creative Red moments if there were nothing grey with which to compare them.

To facilitate positive dynamic change, combine Creative Red with any of the following colours: White, Silver, Courage Orange, Healing Green, Vision Yellow. To enhance your ‘reality creating’ skills, meditate on Creative Red and Manifestation Orange.

Creative Red is highly therapeutic for anyone struggling with Depression Grey. If your inner fire has gone out, leaving only the grey ashes of a dead fire, visualise bringing it back to life. Imagine refuelling the fire while you focus on breathing Creative Red into your body with every inhalation, and release Depression Grey out of your body with every exhalation.   Now stir the ashes in search of hidden Courage Orange sparks and imagine blowing on these sparks until the fire re-ignites.

The Fantasy Colour

This is a straw-coloured, pale brown-yellow, or yellow brown. Yellow is a solar plexus colour, tied in with the nervous system and the mind. Brown is a base chakra colour associated with grounding. Too much yellow and light in the base chakra can dampen our grounding and pull us into our minds. On the flip side, a bit of brown in the solar plexus, colouring our yellow frequency, can bring a practical element to our thinking e.g. how can I use my mind in a practical way to make my life better?

hh

If you have a deck of my Aura Cards and you have some challenges reading this colour, here are some tips:

hh
1) Are there other cards in the spread, or hints in the conversation with the client (or in your own life if this reading is your own), that make you suspect you might be lacking in grounding? This colour can make us a bit dreamy and heady. Symptoms of a lack of grounding in this instance can include:
*Being distracted and not really hearing what others are saying to you.
*Having trouble with your memory because you aren’t really paying attention in the moment.
*Always being somewhere else in your head (past or future or another part of the world for example) instead of being here now.
*Walking into things, having little accidents, forgetting things.
*Feeling dizzy, light-headed or foggy in the head.

hh
2) Explore with yourself (or the client) how you are using your imagination. Is it in a helpful way, or an unhelpful way. Sometimes this card can mean that the worries or issues being experienced are, quite literally, all in your head. They aren’t real. For example, you might be imagining that someone hates you when that isn’t the case at all! We often project our emotional wounds onto others.

hh
3) My favourite way to use this card in a reading, by far, is to think of it as a message from spirit reminding me (or the client) to use our imagination in a therapeutic way. I use the other surrounding cards as hints, to give me ideas about what I could imagine. The mind is so, so incredibly powerful and half the time we walk around with this powerhouse inside us running it’s own show, without us ever attempting to take command of the controls. Deliberate therapeutic imagination is something every wise person uses, say for example when they are learning a new skill: they imagine themselves doing that task easy, effortlessly, joyfully!
