I made this essence in central Australia, north-west of Alice Springs/Mparntwe. I call it the Ancestral Flower, but it’s more commonly known as Western Nightshade, one of many wild tomatoes in central Australia.
The central style (the white ‘tongue’) has a very special affinity for an energy line in the aura that I refer to as the ancestral line or ‘cord’. It holds the aura patterns (both gifts and wounds) of our ancestors. You could think of it like a history book. The aura itself is like a giant library of information about who that person is, what they’ve experienced, their personality and so on. I guess we could think of the ancestral line as being the family history section of a person’s energy-library. The ancestral line is like a shelf full of books that stretches back in time, and every book is one ancestor’s story.
When I work with this flower in the healing room, the central style aligns first with my ancestral line, then with that of the clients, so it can ‘read’ that person’s family history to me using references and language I will understand. The line or cord itself is interconnected with a special part of the energy field (aura) called the central column, which is a bit like the trunk of a tree. The roots and branches of this tree anchor us into Earth and Sky, matter and potential. These roots and branches are also our ‘family tree’, our past, current and future connections with our family and community.
The Ancestral Flower accesses the ancestral line and travels along it in search of lost and forgotten gifts buried along the length of your ancestry. These gifts can be talents or personality qualities. Once found, it brings them back to you. Some of us go through phases where we disconnect from family-based gifts because we are rejecting ugly behaviours, wounds and pain associated with family. In the process, we might cut ourselves off from beautiful family-based gifts and qualities that we have every right to own, celebrate and develop, gifts and qualities that help us know ourselves and our family in a more positive Light. Ancestral flower helps us heal these wounds.

WHAT ARE FLOWER ESSENCES?
Flower essences are frequency-based medicine, traditionally known in times past as vibrational medicine, or (if you go even further back) ‘vitality medicine’. What this means is that the flower essence is an energy remedy, an imprint pattern from the flower’s aura, carried by the water. Like humans, flowers have an aura, a spiritual energy field made of Ki, Chi or Prana, depending on your preferred term for spiritual energy or ‘essence’.
